· Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
· 5+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform including “hands on” technical experience (installation and maintenance of products) related to VTAM, TCP/IP, OSA configurations, FTP, EDI, and OEM product support.
· Thorough working knowledge of IP configurations, IP routing and EDI products, as well as the use of IBM’s SMP/E and OSA/SF.
· Knowledge of network hardware (including Visara devices, BARR system, 317x and 37x5), and hardware configuration.
· Strong analytical skills and understanding of mainframe network concepts and configuration.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations.
